A Square Step Drill is a multiple diameter tool with two different diameters in one tool. Each tool has (2) straight style flutes that act as a drill and a reamer in one shot.  Coolant fed style adds longevity to the tool by introducing coolant at the cutting edge.  The three main characteristics of a "G" drill are as follows:      1.  Drills to very tight tolerances [holds size]
                 2.  Drills a very "round" hole
                 3.  Leaves a "reamer" like finish in the hole.
